Horace F Hunter of two-lawyer firm Hunter & Lipton in Richmond, Virginia wrote a blog discussing legal cases and the issues involved. Included in these were some of the firm's wins. In Hunter v Virginia State Bar the court held that such a blog includes commercial speech which is subject to the ethics rules. Media law expert Clay Calvert told the ABA Journal: 'The decision could have a chilling effect on the speech of some of the most informed people in the United States when it comes to problems with the criminal justice system—namely, the attorneys who deal with it on a daily basis.'
