Lawyers prepare for military call-up in Ukraine

Some Ukrainian law firms could find themselves releasing half their lawyers to serve in the armed forces if there is a formal conflict with Russia.

Ilyashev & Partners, for instance, says that some 15 out of its 30 professional staff are reservists and could be called up if the government increases its call-up. Managing partner Mikhail Ilyashev told The Lawyer that many lawyers had military training alongside their degrees and that they had been put on notice of a potential call-up. Meanwhile, he also said that legal work had grinded to a halt in recent times.  Source: The Lawyer
