Legal bills push Gordon Ramsay into loss

Legal bills of £2.3m in the year to August 31 took celebrity chef onto the verge of a pre-tax loss, with a bad lease cost dragging the business into the black with a final loss of £6.4m.

Kavalake, the holding company for the UK-based restaurant business, has been involved in a series of legal issues. It has now launched a claim against its legal advisers who had drawn up the lease.
