Linklaters in Beijing opening

Following Shanghai free trade zone deal, Linklaters' China joint operation partner Zhao Sheng law firm is to open Beijing branch.

Zhao Sheng Law Firm, has received official approval, from the Beijing Bureau of Justice, to establish a branch in Beijing. The opening of a second office follows the firm’s decision to form a Shanghai free trade zone joint operation with international law firm Linklaters, in April 2018.

Continued growth

The new branch will enable Zhao Sheng to offer a full range of PRC law services from Beijing to meet the demands of the firm’s strong client base in China’s capital. This strategic location will also afford Zhao Sheng closer proximity to key commercial regulators, with the opportunity to further strengthen relationships and gain unique insight into the regulatory landscape. Aligned with Zhao Sheng’s plans for continued development, the firm’s expansion into Beijing will provide the opportunity to establish new practice areas, as well as strengthen existing ones, with an initial focus on Competition. Zhao Sheng’s Shanghai office has already established the firm as a strong brand in the China market, offering Corporate M&A, Financial Regulation, Competition and Dispute Resolution advice.
