Dipika Jaisinghani Aggarwal has been appointed as the first general counsel of Stoke Park, a 300-acre private sporting and luxury hotel estate in Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire.

Previously, she was GC at nutrition solutions company Spoon Guru. Aggarwal began her career as a solicitor trainee at Linklaters and later served as legal counsel at PepsiCo.

She commented: “I am delighted to have started my new role as general counsel at Stoke Park. I am excited to be taking on this pivotal role in the leadership team of this beautiful luxury hotel and golfing estate that combines an exquisite heritage property with parkland, lakes, historic gardens, monuments and a world-famous golf course.”

In 2021, Stoke Park was acquired for £57m by Reliance Industries Ltd, a UK-based oil-to-telecom conglomerate led by Indian billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani. This was the second major acquisition of an iconic British company by Ambani. He bought British toy store Hamleys in 2019.

Mayer Brown International LLP and Khaitan & Co acted as legal counsels for the transaction, and Ernst & Young UK advised on financial and tax matters.

In 1908, the estate was converted into one of the first country clubs in the UK. Stoke Park comprises 49 bedrooms, a 27-hole golf course, 13 tennis courts and 14 acres of private gardens. The hotel has featured in many British films, from James Bond to Bridget Jones’s Diary.
