According to Australasian Legal Business, the firm has appointed five elected partners to oversee the management of the firm after Mr Fazio departs, with Peter Nankivell confirmed as the head of the new board. Mr Nankivell told the publication: ‘The board is excited about the future, the opportunities arising from the changes in the legal industry and the position of Herbert Geer in the market.’
However, the firm will still have a managing partner post and is reported to be considering candidates both from within and outside the organisation.
Mr Fazio worked with the firm on constructing the new management structure – which will see five partners elected for a maximum of two terms – with the system chosen for its representative qualities.
