Releasing the firm’s annual report Annette Kimmitt, MinterEllison ceo and managing partner, said “Innovation and digital transformation will be at the heart of our 2025 strategy, as we work to collaborate and partner with our clients in a unique way.”
Redefining the firm
Ms Kimmitt explained, “In July 2019 we launched Infrastructure Consulting, our latest adjacent offering to our core legal offerings, and in the year ahead we will continue to invest in consulting solutions that set us apart.” Discussing the results themselves she said “FY19 was a year of growth, momentum and impact for MinterEllison with our revenue reaching $627 million globally, up 11.6 percent on FY18,” adding that “Throughout the year, we welcomed lateral Partner hires, expanding our partnership to 268 Partners across our international network.” MinterEllison says it grew its footprint in Asia in FY18, as the firm welcomed 10 new partners to its Hong Kong office in December 2018. Ms Kimmitt pointed to MinterEllison's focus on delivery and said “MinterEllison will always remain a law firm at our core, focused on building authentic and enduring relationships with our clients. In saying that, I'm proud that we're leading the way in redefining what a law firm is, and what it can be.”
Social commitment
The Annual Report also profiles MinterEllison's commitment to corporate social responsibility, through a focus on initiatives that help break the cycles of disadvantage - especially for young people, people experiencing homelessness and those seeking access to justice. “We put our communities at the centre of who we are at MinterEllison,"”said Ms Kimmitt. “We are proud to support over 100 organisations through our Community Investment Program and to play a role in delivering a wide range of positive transformative impacts.” On gender, the firm highlights a continued drive towards gender equality by introducing new 2025 Partnership gender targets of 40:40:20, comprising 40 pcercent women, 40 percent men and 20 percent any gender.
