East Coast private equity
The New York office is led by Mansi Seth, an international tax, funds and corporate lawyer, and it is hoped that the new offering will enable the firm to tap into the increased activity of private equity houses in that region of the US. Managing partner Nishith Desai said that almost all the largest private equity funds are now on the East Coast: ‘In early 2000 it was all about technology and venture capital for start-ups in Silicon Valley; post dotcom bust it was about growth capital and private equity out of the East Coast and now it's on both coasts.
