Nuclear team exits Heenan Blaikie for Gowlings

Five lawyers specialising in nuclear energy law have left the defunct Canadian practice of Heenan Blaikie to join Gowling Lafleur Henderson in Toronto and Qatar.

Four of the lawyers will join the firm in the Canadian capital while the fifth, Bruce Johnson, becomes a consultant in Qatar. Gowlings describes Ahab Abdel-Aziz, joining in Toronto, as ‘a leader in the international nuclear sector for over 20 years’. He joins as a partner and as global director of nuclear power generation.
