This is one of the conclusions of the 'Wealth Report 2013', sponsored by Global Legal Post in association with Boodle Hatfield. Even though there is some lack of enthusiasm from the wealthy in Russia and the Middle East, for instance, families which are used to utilising offshore trusts appear to be maintaining their faith in the structures. Offshore trusts are cited as one of the best way to hold assets by 53 per cent of respondents and onshore trusts come second, among a list of alternatives, on 44 per cent.
