Patton Boggs asks 15 partners to leave

Between 15 and 20 partners are being asked to leave Patton Boggs because they are not contributing enough to firm profitability or overall performance, according to managing partner Edward Newberry.

The exit of the partners is largely related to a fall-off in insurance work, some of which related to claims over 11 September. But at a partnership meeting on 28 February Mr Newberry asked for a confidence vote in the partnership and some 90% of partners indicated that they would remain with the firm. Once the 15 or so partners go, there would be in the region of 165 left. Source: ABA News
