The 650-lawyer firm has 18 offices - including those in Brussels, Chicago, Hamburg, Hong Kong, London, Paris, San Francisco, Sydney, Tokyo and New York. The scheme was started by firm head John Quinn in January when he told associates that January, February and March were miserable months and suggested they take US$2,000 from the firm and work in another location for a week. As a result, 55 associates worked in another location.
