A law firm in Seoul is planning to deploy two robot lawyers in its firm. Dr & Abu will use the two proto-AI lawyers - Law Bo and Urex - for legal information extraction. Developed by legal AI company Intellicon Meta Lab, Urex analyses statutes and legal precedents to ascertain which are relevant to the case whilst Law Bo has the ability to provide initial legal consultation. Intellicon is the first company in Korea to develop an ‘Intelligent Legal Information System’ using Meta knowledge convergence. In 2016 and it ranked first for the second straight year in the ‘Competition on Legal Information Extraction.
