Seyfarth Shaw heads to Australia

A US law firm has gone on the attack in Australia, recruiting its team from top international law firms.

International employment law firm Seyfarth Shaw has acquired eight partners from three of Australia’s top law firms as it opens an office down under.  According to The Australian,  the US based firm recruited five from Herbert Smith Freehills, two from Ashurst and one from Arnold Bloch Leibler.

Lawyer exodus

The lawyers that will be leaving Herbert Smith Freehills include Darren Perry, Chris Gardner, Justine Turnbull, Ben Dudley and Luke Edward. Rachel Bernasconi and Michael Tamvakologos will join forces from Ashurst and  Henry Skene is leaving Arnold Bloch Leibler  to join the team. As well as the US, Seyfrath Shaw now has offices in Melbourne and Sydney,  London, and Shanghai.
