The group will also deal with a wider range of work, including litigation, arbitration, employment matters, regulatory and enforcement work, as well as intellectual property-related disputes and government investigations, according to The Lawyer newspaper.
Mr Hill will lead one of the group’s two divisions that oversees disputes in Europe the CIS, the Middle East, North Africa and the Asia Pacific, while another group, covering North and South America, will be led by Houston-based associate general counsel Lynda Irvine. The overall general counsel of the global litigation group is Brad Nielson, formerly general counsel of Shell’s projects and technology group.
