Slater & Gordon rival goes bust

GT Law, one of Slater & Gordon's major rivals in the UK personal injury space, has gone into administration.

The Liverpool-based firm was referred to the Solicitors Regulation Authority two months ago over a conduct matter. Its debts had been mounting as profit before tax declined, despite increased revenues. The firm’s website says it went into administration on 9 October, with Samantha Palmer of Ashfords appointed solicitor manager. Client files have been transferred to other firms, who are in the process of securing informed client consent. Source: GT Law
