Andrii IURLOV

The new firm is head-quartered in Paris and comprises of some 30 lawyers, including 13 partners. It will be managed ‘collegially’ by Yves Schmidt, Fabrice Veverka, Nicolas Viguie and Olivier Loizon. Viguie Schmidt & Associes advises its clients in M&A, securities and corporate law, tax, antitrust/merger control as well as litigation, including before regulators (mainly the AMF (French stock markets authority) and competition authorities.

'Master our fate'

‘The will to master our fate led us to set up our own firms within a 10 year time frame. We have the same desire to assist – or defend – our clients, and the ambition to stand with them when they take structuring or strategic decisions. Our common values, our respective group dynamics as well as the complementarity of our experiences convinced us to merge our firms,’ said Yves Schmidt, one of the new firm’s managing partners.

'Taste for excellence'

‘We originally come from highly respected firms, from great legal houses. We share the same taste for excellence, and beyond that, we share a common view of what the role of a lawyer should be. The idea to combine our respective experiences in order to provide tailor-made legal solutions felt obvious,’ added Fabrice Veverka, co-managing partner.
