Stephenson Harwood launches investigations venture

The nine-office, 420-lawyer international firm is teaming up a firm of risk mitigation specialists and a set of barristers chambers to offer a 'full-service cyber investigations and compliance team'.

Stephenson Harwood has launched a cyber investigations and compliance team GlebStock

A joint statement from the three organisations says that they will start by focusing on 'cyber investigations where individuals with criminal intent have set out to deliberately to harm a company’s infrastructure, steal sensitive data or hold companies to ransom, whether for the purpose of financial crime, industrial espionage, activism, terrorism or individual disaffection'. The other parties are risk mitigators PGI and Red Lion Chambers.

Stephenson Harwood partner Mike Pullen said: 'Companies that have suffered attacks clearly need to conduct effective investigations in order to deal with regulatory issues and the inevitable follow-up civil litigation and our team provides a powerful and simple solution to this need.'
