Subscription-based legal service launches Down Under

An Australian start-up which offers online legal advice by connecting clients with lawyers for a monthly subscription fee has launched.

Subscription wave hits Australia's legal landscape

The website, LawPath, is similar to several successful start-ups across the US, reports Lawyers Weekly.
Developed by technology incubator Pollenzier, the web site claims to allow users to speak to an expert lawyer for up to 30 minutes for AU$29.

First movers

LawPath co-founder and CEO Paul Lupson claimed that technology businesses in Australia were ‘eagerly taking up the subscription’, and accounted for more than 50 per cent of new sign-ups.
‘It stands to reason that technology companies are first movers on our service,’ commented Mr Lupson, who added that Australia’s ‘highly fragmented market’ means there is room for his nice company.
