Sydney firm launches Singapore office

Sydney-based law firm Ryan Lawyers is the latest overseas player to hit the Singapore legal scene, opening an office in the city-state and recruiting former Marriott senior counsel Tien Gui Koh as practice director.

Australasian Legal News Online reports that the firm – which launched in 2004 and specialises in the real estate, hotels, tourism and construction sectors – will also send recent recruit Robert Williams, who joined from US giant Baker & McKenzie in June, to spend time at the office.
Ryan Lawyers joins several other international firms that have opened Singapore offices this year, including Cleveland-based Squire Sanders, leading Netherlands law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek and two London-based practices, LG and Withers.
