Hamilton Harrison & Matthews and Oraro Company, two Kenyan firms, have announced they are merging and pending approval. If approved, the combined firm HHM Oraro will be one of the largest firms in Kenya with 17 partners and 34 associates. Adil Khawaja, Hamilton Harrison & Matthews' managing partner, will be the managing partner of the new firm.
Currently, the Kenyan legal market is moving towards liberalisation. HHM Oraro is planning on expanding outside of Nairobi, followed by an office opening in Mombasa. After Mombasa, other offices will open in other parts of Kenya. Source: The Lawyer.
