The Ministry of Justice is keen to cut the cost for honest motorists and other holders of insurance policies who have to pay the rising cost of a growing number of expensive insurance and other accident claims. The move comes after discussion with the insurance industry. Otto Thorenson, head of the Association of British Insurers, said: ‘We applaud the decision to ban the distasteful advertising which offers cash or other inducements for personal injury claims. This only serves to reinforce to unscrupulous claimants that there is a compensation culture to exploit.’ Source: The Times
