The New York-based firm had announced that it was getting rid of 60 lawyers in June and reducing pay for some partners. Many people affected were in Houston and Dallas. In the last seven weeks, about 30 lawyers have joined other firms. But Glenn West, managing partner of Weil Gotshal in Dallas gave a statement to the Dallas Business Journal in which he said: 'Weil is committed to Dallas and to Texas and to the many valued clients we have in the region, in addition to our attorneys and staff here.
